Staging, should I or shouldn't I and what are my options.
I have sold vacant and un-staged homes over and over. Staging is not required. I have heard that staged homes sell faster for more money with staging. Problem with that claim is it is unsubstantiated. You don’t know how much a house would have sold for if it was un-staged. If you are not certain about staging or not.
Staging can cost $2,000 for 2,000 sqft house + month fees. It’s definitely not cheap.
Let me offer a compromise idea:
First 2 weeks, attempt to sell without paying for staging. Leave the house empty. If it does not sell
Second 2 weeks, use virtual staging. Virtual staging is computer generated furniture and furnishings over the picture of your vacant room. Debra Falco does this for about $50/room. Check her work out in this video or go to her website.

If virtual staging does not work, then try the physical staging.
Third 2 weeks, use the actual physical staging. Pay the fees and bite the bullet.
